"What I love most about being a Specialist Orthodontist is the end result. If I can help someone's child or teenager (or even themselves) get a beautiful smile...maybe they're lacking in self-esteem or won't smile.....if we help to change that and give them confidence, and a brilliant result, a lovely happy smile at the finish, that's what I love most about my job!..."

State Of The Art Technology

North Shore Orthodontics uses state-of-the-art scanner technology from iTero. The iTero Element Scanner is a digital impression system that eliminates the need for messy putty in your mouth. We can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is this process far more comfortable than the old putty based impressions, but it’s faster and can offer a superior clinical endpoint.

Why See A Registered Specialist In Orthodontics?

Orthodontists are Dentists who have undergone advanced training in Orthodontics. A full time 3 year degree involving approximately 2000 hours of study is undertaken at a university.

Specialist Orthodontists have the knowledge, skills and expertise to provide orthodontic treatment of the highest standard. We live and breathe Orthodontics – it’s all we do.

While some Dentists offer orthodontic treatment, they have approximately 50 hrs of orthodontic training during their under-graduate degree, and some have attended weekend courses to further their knowledge.

What Our Patients Say...

I don't suppose there are too many families who have all been through John's practice, this includes Mum, Dad, and the two sons.  John provided very considered advice for each member of the family, and this was particularly appreciated for the 'adults' dealing with ‘mid-life’ braces.  We found John and his team thorough professionals and I'd recommend them without hesitation; especially to those older patients considering or worrying about entering treatment.
